Welcome to www.elementsosociety.com (the "Site"), owned and operated by Elements of Society, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our Site, as well as all enrollments, workshops, coaching sessions, corporate seminars, and instructional services offered by Company.
By browsing this Site, purchasing a course, or submitting a registration, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or register for our programs.
1. Educational and Informational Nature of Services
All workshops, digital downloads, cotillions, and training sessions provide educational instruction regarding personal etiquette, dining manners, protocol, and professional executive presence.
-
No Guaranteed Results: While our programs are designed to enhance professional and social confidence, we do not make guarantees regarding specific business outcomes, corporate advancements, school admissions, or job placements.
-
Not Legal, Medical, or Therapy Advice: Our consulting services do not constitute psychological counseling, medical diagnosis, or legal advice.
2. Registration, Bookings, and Tuition
-
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age or possess legal parental/guardian consent to enroll in our programs or execute financial transactions on this Site.
-
Registration Accuracy: You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information on all registration and medical/allergy disclosure forms.
-
Seat Reservations: Space in group dining workshops and youth cotillions is limited. Seats are not secured until full payment or a formal non-refundable deposit has been received.
3. Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
-
Payment Terms: Fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the scheduled program unless a formal written payment plan has been executed.
-
Client Cancellations:
-
Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to an event may be eligible for a refund minus a 15% administrative fee / credit toward a future program.
-
Because venue dining and food commitments are finalized in advance, cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled start date are non-refundable.
-
-
Company Rescheduling: If an event is postponed due to severe weather, instructor illness, or venue emergencies, Company will offer an alternate date or provide a full credit/refund.
-
Late Arrivals / No-Shows: Failure to attend without advance notice forfeits the entire workshop fee.
4. Third-Party Venues, Food Service & Dining Disclaimers
Instructional dining courses often occur at independent third-party venues (e.g., hotels, private clubs, or licensed restaurants).
-
Independent Food Preparation: Company does not prepare, cook, handle, or license food or beverages. All catering is provided solely by the designated third-party venue.
-
Allergy and Dietary Responsibility: Attendees must inform Company in writing of any severe food allergies during registration. However, Company does not inspect venue kitchens and cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Attendees consume food and beverages at their own risk.
5. Code of Conduct and Dismissal
We maintain a respectful, safe, and professional learning environment. Company reserves the unilateral right to dismiss any participant (youth or adult) whose conduct is disruptive, abusive, dangerous, or harassing toward instructors, venue staff, or other students. Dismissal under this section will not entitle the participant or guardian to a refund.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
-
Proprietary Materials: All curriculum materials, handouts, slide decks, presentation outlines, workbooks, videos, and website copy are the exclusive intellectual property of Elements of Society and are protected under copyright and trademark laws.
-
Permitted Use: Course materials are provided for the personal, non-commercial educational use of the enrolled participant only. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our materials without express written authorization from Company.
-
No Video Recording: Unauthorized audio or video recording during workshops and live demonstrations is strictly prohibited.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Elements of Society, its officers, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your access to the Site or participation in our instructional programs.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the actual amount paid by you to Company for the specific workshop or service giving rise to the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Elements of Society and its agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:
-
Your violation of these Terms.
-
Property damage or bodily injury caused by you or your minor child at a workshop venue.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
